CMCC Voyage contester Nicolai Jacobsen of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s (RHKYC) is one of the leading youth foiling sailors globally. He is a serious contender in the upcoming Moth Foil Sailing World Championship.

Nicolai is one of the few sailors globally who grew up with foiling, a revolution in sailing technology headed by pioneers and record-breakers worldwide.

CMCC Voyage supports Nicolai on his journey of becoming the world’s best youth foiling sailor, the youngest ever Moth World Champion, and to compete against (and beat) the best sailors in the world.

The Liberty Bitcoin Moth Cup

The Liberty Bitcoin Moth Cup consisted of over four days of sailing held in tandem with Foiling Week 2021 at Malcesine on Lake Garda, Italy.
‍
The Liberty Bitcoin Moth Cup saw spectacular action on the water from a fleet of 58 boats, with Tom Slingsby from Australia taking the event win. Italy’s Ruggero Tita came second, and Hong Kong’s Nicolai Jacobsen took third. Results from the entire fleet can be seen here.

Genesis
Founded by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC), Rune Jacobsen, Max Dubreuil, and CMCC Global, Liberty Bitcoin Cup was created following the cancellation of the Youth America’s Cup in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. Through the Liberty Bitcoin Cup, we aspired to make selected leading-edge foiling classes accessible and affordable for youth teams around the world, and to host truly pinnacle events at the lowest cost possible for participants.

RHKYC Team Agiplast from Hong Kong, Young Azzurra from Italy, Team DutchSail and Team Kingdom from the Netherlands, One Switzerland from Switzerland, Southern Challenge from the USA, Youth Bravo España from Spain, and Xele Racing from Norway were among the competing teams from Liberty Bitcoin Cup 2021.
